MOST TREES PLANTED BY AN INDIVIDUAL
Suchibrata Sinha Chowdhury (b 01-02-1960) from Dhubri, Assam (India) is a renowned nature conservationist, who with an objective to maintain and restore habitat, prevent deforestation, halt species extinction and mitigate climate change, has planted more than 2,50,000 trees in past 30 years, thereby set a State Record for planting most trees by a single man. Mr Chowdhury, by dint of sheer selfless altruistic efforts, has now become an idol for social workers.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) acknowledges his lifelong hard work and confers this State Record Certificate upon him.
