Lyricist Dr. D. R. Upadhyay (b 16-12-1962) of Chabhil, Kathmandu, Nepal has recorded the shortest modern song using only 18 words which is composed and sung by Sagar Adhikari “Sharad” and was recorded at Action Studio, Anamnagar, Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates Dr. Upadhyay and places his name on its world record category.
