MOST ARTIFACTS MADE USING BAMBOO ROOTS
Mridul Hazarika (b 05-02-1980) of Ouphulia Gaon, Dibrugarh, Assam, has established a record for producing the most artefacts solely from bamboo roots. On the list of things he has created are birds, fruits, vehicles, vegetables, animals, etc. He employed a total of 42 bamboo roots, setting a state record for the most bamboo roots used to create decorative items. He served as an inspiration to others and demonstrated the craft of making unusual crafts.
His talents are recognised by the Assam Book of Records (ABR), which adds his name to the state records category.
