LARGEST TITANIC MODEL MADE USING WPC BOARD AND WOOD
Mrinal Das (b 06-04-1980) of Goalpara, Assam, a state government employee in the Water Resources Division in Goalpara, Assam, has set a record for creating the largest replica of the "Titanic" model ever, measuring 120 inches by 60 inches, using WPC board and wood, and weighing 165 kg net, with a self-declared guarantee of 21 years. He is admired for his skill at creating art with metal nails. As reported on August 20, 2022, he created six exquisite pictures of famous people using iron nails (boma gojal) and a hammer, including Rabindranath Tagore, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Pratima Pandey Barua, Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar and Michael Jackson. Since 2014, he has been creating art using nails, which is a sight to behold.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognises his abilities and lists his name under the state records category.
