Nava Jyoti Saikia (b 30-06-1977), the son of Jeuti Gogoi Saikia and Nabin Saikia of Joysagar in Sivasagar, Assam, has established a record for the longest bicycle trip, travelling 2082 kilometres over 28 days and 31 districts in Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. He began his "Brahmaputra Parikrama" ride from Ranghar on April 30 and concluded it there on May 27, 2022. This journey is a homage he has made to the nation's firefighters, police, and military personnel.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognises his efforts and places his name in the state records category.
