12 HOURS EVERESTING ON A BICYCLE
Ripunjay Gogoi (b 19-12-1993), a Network Engineer in Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, Assam and the son of Nirmali Chetia Gogoi and Biren Gogoi of Guwahati, Assam set a record in Everesting by riding a hill on a bicycle (with gear) in Pillangkata, Ribhoi District, Meghalaya. He achieved an elevation of 5941m in 12 hours, 59 minutes, and 56 seconds while covering a distance of 141.53KM with 78 loops. The record was established on January 26, 2023, from 06:01AM to 06:01PM.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) commends his efforts and places his name in the state records category.
