Dr. Manjit Dihingia (b 20-12-1985), the son of Tankeswar Dihingia of Sonitpur, Assam, and working in Assam Police in Assam has established a record for the longest barefoot marathon run of 205 kilometres in 25 hours and 10 minutes. He began his run from Gohpur to Jiyabharali, Sonitpur, Assam on December 19th, 2017 at 09:30 a.m. and finished on December 20th, 2017 at 10:40 a.m. in Gohpur (starting point), Biswanath Chariali, Assam.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates him on completing the run successfully and adds his name to the category of state records.
