Suryaansh Choukhany (b 27-02-2012), a student of grade 6, and the son of Puja Choukhany and Varun Choukhany from Guwahati, has set a record for being the youngest kid to compete in and win many robotics championships at various levels. At the age of 6, robotics piqued his interest and he started making robots on his own with the help of Lego Technic. He has been using EV3 Mindstorm for a year and has achieved success in a number of contests, taking first place in the Life Robotics Olympiad and third place in the State Level Robotics Competition held by the Aryabhatta Science Centre. In the upcoming months, he will also be taking part in the World Robotics Championship (WRC) and World Robotics Olympiad (WRO).

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognises his skills and places his name in the state records category.
