Dinesh R. Patel (b 26-11-1955) of Kheda, Gujarat, now residing in the USA, set the record for the fastest completion of two blindfolded motorcycle expeditions: from Ahmedabad to Delhi (June 16-22, 1981) and Bombay to Pune (December 24-25, 1983). The latter was undertaken on the most dangerous route to exist in the country. Both trips were observed by the State Director General and Inspector General of Police of the respective states.
Additionally, he performed a "fire jump" in the USA in 1990 and attempted blindfolded motorcycle riding in Fremont, California in 1995 with an Official Permit From the San Francisco City Fire Department And Fire Marshal of California, USA.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) commends his efforts and adds his name to the list of world records.
