Purvik Jalan (b 08-01-2018), a Grade I student at Delhi Public School, Dibrugarh, and the son of Neha Agarwal and Krishan Kumar Jalan, Tinsukia, Assam, has set a record for performing hula hoop spins non-stop for 11 minutes and 50 seconds, totaling 1700 spins in anti-clockwise form. He had previously undergone training under the guidance of The Rainbow House, Guwahati, Assam. The record was set at his residence M P Jalan Petrol Pump, Hijuguri, Tinsukia, on 19th January 2024.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) acknowledges his prowess and enlists his name in the category of state records.
