Nikita Das (b 31-10-1998), a resident of Hijuguri, Kaptanchuck Gaon, Heuj Path, Tinsukia, Assam, is the daughter of Nitu Das and Ganesh Das. She has made a remarkable mark by photographing and documenting 101 species of butterflies using a NIKON D5300 DSLR camera and a ONE PLUS NORD mobile. The identification of these butterfly species was meticulously done with the aid of the photographic guide by Kehimkar (2016) and resources such as www.ifoundbutterflies.org. Her dedicated effort over six months, from March 9, 2024, to September 9, 2024, culminated in a comprehensive checklist that showcases her passion for nature.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates her and places her name in its state record category, recognizing her outstanding efforts and significant contribution to environmental awareness and conservation.
