The Assam Book of Records (ABR) runs under trust (Regd. No. TSK/TRUST/613/2017), and working with a mission to protect the vanishing endangered folklore - folk art, folk dance, folk literature, oral literature, folk music, indigenous musical instruments, Satriya Nritya, Bihu of World repute, many unnoticed medicinal plants and herbs and so on. ABR team thought upon the momentous idea of patenting and licensing the achievements of our innovative Assamese and North east talent in various fields of research and development with a view to promote creativity and originality for the precious treasure of mankind.

By no means shall the Assam Book of Records (ABR) be responsible for any kind of wrong/false/twisted/illegimate information, misguiding and fake data furnished by the applicant. The Applicant must provide us with true facts and data, or else the certificate provided shall automatically be invalid and we will cancel the same in our office records and website. Such cases might also lead to legal consequences. Every dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of Tinsukia District Court only.  We are here to promote creativity in people's talent irrespective of how huge or small their talent may be. Creativity is only the thing which is accepted here.  So, here are few guidelines that need to be followed if anyone wants to apply for the Assam Book of Records (ABR).

FEE AND COSTS INVOLVED (Please read carefully before proceeding):

The following is the chart of expenses to be met for an application to the Assam Book of Records (ABR).

1. Standard application: INR 9000/- w.e.f. 1st January 2024 (minimum 7 to 21 days) 
2. Fast-track application: INR 25000/- (maximum 24 hours)
3. Invite a Judge: You can invite a judge to check and verify the record attempt on the spot. And for this facility, you will have to bear the transportation charges, lodging costs, and food costs for our two representatives.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) is run by a trust to promote the immense talent in the nation on a self-sustainable basis. Hence the charges. Promotion of talent being our prime motive, we also consider waivers of all or some of the above charges for deserving candidates who are financially weak. Payment of charges will not affect the probability of awarding recognition.

Inclusion in the Assam Book of Records shall be made only on the basis of judgement procedures.

• Judgement charges: To be informed after receipt of basic details. (Depending upon location, time involved, etc.) All fees and charges are non-refundable and non-adjustable. (No claim for refund or adjustment shall be entertained for any reason whatsoever.)

Please keep in mind that you cannot purchase a record. To be listed in the Assam Book of Records, you must be an expert in your profession or perform the record event in a stipulated, verifiable manner. What you pay is for the verification costs, sustaining the platform we offer to promote talent, and preserving records in our database in perpetuity.

A State Record, a National Record, or a World Record can all be applied for.
Method of eliminating similarities:
Similarity with a particular entry for record shall be judged up to an acceptable level at the discretion of the judges. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

1. For a state record declaration, the relevant databases will be searched for a similar entry in the state.
2. For a national record declaration, the relevant databases will be searched for a similar entry in the country.
3. For a world record declaration, the relevant databases will be searched for a similar entry via reliable sources.
4. However, the sources may be unsubstantial at times, and there may be room for inaccuracy. As a result, if an issue about a record arises, we will not be held liable. However, if conclusive proof of a similar or better record has been made that predates the record date held with us, this record shall be declared to be void ab initio.

Note: After Assam's pride, ‘Gamusa," received the Geographical Identification (GI) tag, the state government mandated the use of handloom gamusa only, so currently, we are not going to include the Gamusa in our certificate package. Additionally, the ‘Japi’ won’t be included as we’re going to have it made on a fully traditional basis. So right now, we are only providing a certificate of a particular size and frame. Japi and Gamusa will be provided only on very special occasions.
